Bridging-the-Future
The HEALinc BTF Program is uniquely structured to provide a platform for the next generation of innovative problem-solvers. Every year, our coordinators select a handful of deserving top STEM high-school students (ages 14-18) from the region to participate in our science and technology-focused program embedded within the Summit. While the program began with top-tier STEAM high school students in 2018 and 2019, it has since expanded to include undergraduate scientists, nursing and medical students at our most recent HEALinc Summits.
Talented young people all over the world are asking the same questions. How do I navigate a successful career in the new healthcare paradigm of longevity and regenerative medicine? Should I go to college? Is it necessary? What should I study in college? Should I work and study part-time to save money and minimize debt? How do I know what’s right for me? What resources are out there for people growing up in developing countries in the Caribbean and/or Latin America, or a rural, remote, or underserved community in the US, North America or elsewhere? Similar questions still arise for people already in the workforce (in healthcare or other professions) who are considering a career change, given the shifting paradigms in all areas of life. This workshop and discussion panel addresses these issues.
