Trailblazer in Longevity and Regenerative Medicine

A brushstroke before a stethoscope: Dr. Desirée Cox (MD, MPhil, PhD) is a medical doctor, polymath and Rhodes Scholar who paints healing into the future. An author, creative and trailblazer in the longevity and regenerative health field, she founded HEALinc to educate, connect and inspire key opinion leaders to disrupt silos and create new pathways for people to access cutting-edge, advanced longevity and regenerative technologies that promote a new proactive vision of whole-person health (www.healincsummit.com, www. healincglobal.com, and www.healinc360.com).

HEALinc also mentors next-generation trailblazers, scientists, thought-leaders and entrepreneurs in their development of future health innovations. Dr. Cox spearheaded the framing of new laws in strategic offshore locations like The Bahamas as well as the development of an innovative model and system for expanding global access to advanced longevity therapies to patients. This Bahamas-based regulatory framework (now the LARTA System) has enabled leading international companies to expand global access to their breakthrough regenerative medicines.

Dr. Cox has earned degrees from McGill University (Canada) where she studied quantum chemistry, Oxford University (UK) where she trained as a medical doctor, and Cambridge University (UK) where she received her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and PhD degrees. She is the first Rhodes Scholar from The Bahamas and the first woman Rhodes Scholar from the British Caribbean. She has been honored by Oxford University and is an affiliate member of Rutgers University’s Graduate Studies Faculty. The Bahamas Government honored Dr. Cox at the 40th Independence Celebrations by issuing a 70-cent stamp into circulation bearing her photograph.

Dr. Cox highlights the importance of integrating the science and art of creativity and innovation in all aspects of whole-person health. Her pioneering ArtRegen (www.artregen.com) initiative connects the dots between art and regenerative health. She has been a successful professional artist for the past 17 years, creating her own unique brand: Regenerative Art. In 2021, her work was featured on British Vogue 2021 (May, June, July). Her art has been exhibited all over the world, with some paintings in private collections alongside works such as an original Picasso. She lives in Nassau (Bahamas) and New York (USA).
