Dr. Silviu Itescu is a globally recognized pioneer in cellular therapies and regenerative medicine. He founded Mesoblast in 2004, serving on its Board of Directors since inception, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director in 2011. Under his leadership, Mesoblast has grown into a global leader in allogeneic cellular medicines for inflammatory diseases, with a market cap of approximately $2.48 billion.

Dr. Itescu’s expertise spans stem cell biology, autoimmune disease, organ transplantation and heart failure.
