Dr. Zaher Merhi, MD, FACOG, HCLD

Dr. Merhi is the Founder and Medical Director of Rejuvenating Fertility Center (RFC) and RFC- Bahamas at Doctors Hospital. He is an internationally recognized fertility doctor, lecturer, editor, and grant reviewer. His training and faculty appointments included Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, NYU School of Medicine, and the University of Vermont. He was a Professor at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship Program (ACGME-accredited). He is currently a Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Maimonides Medical Center in New York. He holds three American Board certifications in OB/GYN, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and High-Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD).
Dr. Merhi is an active researcher with an interest in women over 40 with low or diminished ovarian reserve, stem cell ovarian rejuvenation, gentle stimulation IVF, natural IVF, and IVF without injectables.
His research also focuses on technologies such as stem cell exosomes, ozone sauna therapy, and low-level laser therapy (LLLT) that may improve egg quality, especially in women with endometriosis, immune disorders, and PCOS. Dr. Merhi is also experienced in treating overweight women and those who have undergone weight-loss surgery.
Dr. Merhi was awarded Top OB/GYN Doctor from 2019 to 2024 and has been recognized as a Top Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) for many consecutive years. He has received the ASRM “Star Award” five times.
He has published over 110 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and continues to present his research at national and international scientific conferences. He serves as a Chair on several committees, including those of the NIH, ASRM, New England Fertility Society, Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI), and the Endocrine Society.
