Randal Baker, MD, FACS

Dr. Randal Baker is the Chairman of the Board and Founder of BFKW, the company behind the Full Sense Device. As the device’s original inventor, he holds more than 70 patents worldwide. He also serves as President of Grand Health Partners, recognized for leadership in weight management and GERD treatment. Dr. Baker specializes in advanced laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic procedures and is a noted researcher, speaker, and thought leader in surgical sciences and weight-loss therapeutics. Throughout his career, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Baker is an assistant professor of surgery at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. He is a past president of the Michigan State Chapter of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and ASMBS. He is on staff at University of Michigan–West and Mercy Health Grand Rapids, and has served as medical director and chief of Bariatrics and Surgical Critical Care.
